A little about Svetlana: Svetlana Tulasi (@svetlanatulasi) is an LA-based Indian dance choreographer and the Founder & CEO of Svetlana Tulasi Dance Company. Specializing in Kathak Fusion, her choreography blends the elegance of traditional Kathak with mainstream pop music and Indian classical influences, creating a unique style rooted in storytelling, musicality, and contemporary expression. Her work is recognized for its intricate spins, rhythmic footwork, graceful hand and wrist movements, and expressive facial storytelling.
A professionally trained Kathak dancer with over 20 years of experience, Svetlana has toured internationally with dance productions, taught workshops worldwide, and performed on major live television platforms including Ukraine’s Got Talent, Russia’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, and Dance Plus. With a rapidly growing global social media audience, she continues to redefine Kathak for modern audiences through innovative choreography that bridges classical Indian dance with contemporary music and visual storytelling.
